Jef LAMBEAUX (1852 - 1908) - Lot 17
Jef LAMBEAUX (1852 - 1908) Bust of a young nude woman. Bronze with a medallic brown patina on a molded sea-green marble base. H. 41.5 cm including base. Note: A sculptor of Antwerp origin with a Walloon father, he was active in Paris, where he taught, and was a co-founder of the XX group, which he left out of resistance to the avant-garde. His sculpture is characterized by the static movement with which he animates it.
