Japan - Meiji or Taisho Era Very large bronze Kagami mirror in its lacquered wooden case (Lmax mirror 63 cm case 71 cm). Paulownia leaf (kirimon) motif in relief in the bronze and in Hiramaki-e lacquer on the case. This motif is the "Mon" seal (coat of arms) of the Japanese government. The exceptional size of this mirror suggests that it was an official gift from the Japanese government to an ambassador or during an official visit by a head of state. Delivery Paris 100 eur.
